Year 2016: A Recap

2016 had many ups and many downs. I felt like I was being constantly shit on by the year twenty-sixteen but looking back on it, I had some amazing experiences. And today I would like to relive them with you. Enjoy. ♡

A Wishlist of Sorts

Every year I'm hit with the same question: "What do you want for Christmas?" As well as the ever common: "I don't know what to buy you!" "You're too hard to buy for!" I'm...literally..not??????
Does anyone listen to the words that come out of my mouth? Lol I talk about the same stuff all the time:

  • Kpop
  • Makeup
  • Clothes&Shoes
  • YouTube
I was originally working on a wishlist post of these items for my blog, but with Christmas fast approaching I thought I might as well just turn it into a Christmas list. Now listen carefully: I will love anything you buy me. You can get me nothing on these lists and I'll still love it all the same. These are just things that I've been eyeing to buy for myself. So I thought I would share them for anyone that might be stumped on what to get me this holiday season. ^-^

BTS (방탄소년단) - Wings: "I" Version [UNBOXING] | A Closer Look

BTS are back at it again and let me tell you, I. Am. Floored. My favorite album up to this point has been The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Pt. 2. From start to finish I thought that album was golden. From the songs to the album aesthetics to the m/v concepts. But this one...THIS ONE. Wings is the actual definition of art. Go ahead. Look it up in the dictionary.

Art Museums & Chill?

Here's a life hack for you: if you're on a tight budget while traveling but still want to do something fun, check out art museums. How is art museum hopping budget friendly? Because it's FREE. Yes, you heard me. It doesn't cost you a dime to enjoy beautiful works of art. I stumbled into my first legitimate art museum when I traveled to Cleveland, Ohio last year. The art heaux movement is sweeping its way across the globe and has definitely grabbed my attention. Now, I'm no artist. But I sure as heck can doodle. I so greatly admire anyone with any artistic ability above that of my 5th grade skills. Some might deme art admiring as boring, but I enjoy it a lot and gain so much inspiration from these museums. And the super quiet, intimate atmosphere is something else I appreciate. Check out a couple of the awesome art museums I've been to recently!

The aesthetics of this album, both day and night versions, are to die for. I purchased this set at Music Plaza in LA for about $30. I'll leave links below to where you can purchase your own!

K-Beauty Haul + Review

Long time no talk, eh? Sorry loves. I've been terribly busy on top of being horribly unmotivated. But I am back and ready to talk beauty! I went to Dallas in February for my first ever k-pop concert, which could be an entire blog post in itself because oh my LORD, and I did a bit of shopping. Dallas has a small Koreatown that I thought I would pop into because I've heard nothing but amazing things about k-beauty. So let's take a peek at what I picked up!

。*✧ 2016 Resolutions ✧*。

2015 was arguably the worst year of my life to date, so 2016 owes me. Of course, I don't expect a great year to just be handed over to me without effort. So I've comprised a list of resolutions/things I want to accomplish this year.

Get In The Best Shape I've Ever Been
I know everyone makes this resolution but goddamnit it's my turn. I want to be fit and lean and healthy and hot and be able to love my body. I'm aiming for a clean diet, minimal cheat meals, and working out 3-5 times a week. One thing I most definitely want to overcome is my addiction to sugar. It's bad y'all. If I wasn't pre-diabetic before the holidays, bih I am now.

Move Out Of My Parent's House
I love my family. I really do. More than anything in this world. And the thought of leaving them makes my heart hurt. But I've lived in the same town my entire life. I need out and to experience new things. I want to escape this small town life and move to a bigger city. I want to get a cute little apartment and decorate it the way I want and just be more of an adult! Be independent!

 Start A YouTube Channel
Ok, I actually already have one. But I want to start uploading regularly on it. I have like one vlog on there and the rest are just a bunch of old home videos. I love YouTube and I'm subscribed to so many creative people that inspire me to create content of my own! I think the direction I wanna go with this channel is along the lines of fashion/beauty/lifestyle.

 Get More Hobbies/Learn New Skills
If you asked me right now what my hobbies are I couldn't tell ya. What a boring life to live? I want to find something I'm passionate about. Something creative that I can channel my time and energy into instead of just wasting my free hours stuck behind a computer refreshing my Tumblr feed until my fingers fall off. One thing I for sure want to get into is dancing. I listen to a lot of kpop as you may know and almost every song for every group has a seriously infectious dance to go with it. I've found a few people on YouTube that teach the choreography to some songs and girl, I get hype! It's so much fun! So I think I wanna find a dance studio to start going to. Alongside dancing I'd like to learn an instrument. I'm thinking either guitar or piano? I'd also like to experiment a little more with my camera, get new lenses and all that. Because I do really like taking pictures. And maybe I can experiment with Photoshop. :)

 Learn A New Language
So because of my love for kpop and the language barrier I suffer from, I've taken it upon myself to start learning Korean. I already taught myself how to read and write Hangul, and I know some vocabulary and key phrases, but I would like to see if I can become fluent! I don't know if you've ever tried learning another language but it's actually really interesting! I enjoy coming home and doing my Korean lesson of the day. If I can get Korean down I'd like to learn Spanish next.

All in all this year I just want to be the best me I can be. I want to be a smiling, shining, positive little ray of sunshine that passes around good vibes to everyone! The complete and utter opposite of what I was last year. Gonna do my best to kick the negative thoughts, negative actions, and negative people to the curb.
