#NationalCoffeeDay

I feel like there's a "hashtag national" day for just about everything. But nothing matters more to me than this one. Coffee is life and coffee is love. Not only does it taste good and help me function through every day life, but the smell is absolutely intoxicating. Anything coffee scented ends up in my possession. Which brings me to this beauty:
This is Lush's Cup O' Coffee face and body mask. If you're a coffee lover like myself you need this! The strong aroma is a perfect wake up call in the morning. It contains kaolin to deep clean your pores and also bits of ground up coffee beans to help exfoliate the skin. I don't find it to be too abrasive and it leaves my skin feeling super soft afterwards! Definitely a favorite and I hope Lush keeps it around.

Another fun little bath time item I got recently is this glycerin soap that smells like a fresh cup of morning java. I purchased this from a cute little shop up in the Sacramento mountains. They have tiers upon tiers of handmade soaps all with little works of art inside. Their soaps are all 100% natural and made with vegetable oil so they're super duper moisturizing and don't leave any annoying residue. And these babies lather like a dream.
Of course I couldn't make a #NationalCoffeeDay post without telling you what I've been sippin' on! I found this super delicious bag of hazelnut coffee at Marshall's a few months back and with a quote like that on the front I couldn't say no to it. "Life is too short to drink bad coffee." Where's the lie???

Hope you enjoyed my little spiel today. I'm new to all this blogging jazz but it's actually pretty fun. My new camera came in over the weekend so I've been experimenting with it non stop. Feeling really inspired lately. :)

Country Weekend

09.25.15 - 09.27.15
This past weekend I took a much needed trip to the tiniest little town in Texas to visit my family and also to celebrate my
grandma's 60th birthday. In a town with a population of a little under 700 people, there isn't much to do for a little old woman.
So we booked the senior citizen center to throw a surprise party for our Wonder Woman <3

I didn't get any other pictures of the party which I'm a little upset about, but I was just too busy making sure my grandma had the greatest time. I love that woman to the moon and back again and I hope she felt all the love that day! ♥◡♥

We spent the rest of the weekend at my aunt Jessica and uncle Peter's little country home. They recently moved out into the middle of nowhere and it's honestly so lovely. Anybody who knows me knows that I love the city life, but every once in awhile it's nice to be able to walk out of the house and hear NOTHING. It's so peaceful and it makes me want to spend all of the daylight hours outside.
I don't get to see my grandparents or my aunt&uncle&cousin very often, so when I get the chance I take it. I got to watch my 8 year old cousin Ben play in his first football game, run around the countryside chasing their red-heeler pup Nico, and eat some gooood homemade Mexican food. But I think my favorite part of the whole trip was staying up late in the living room with everyone trying to figure out riddles. It's the little things, honestly.
